Cast Iron Incense Holders - Oblong

The burning of incense is a centuries old tradition in Japan; the Japanese use the phrase koh-do to describe incense appreciation. Incense is used in casual settings—at home to create a relaxing ambiance—as well as in formal religious and ceremonial settings. Made of cast iron using traditional methods in Northern Japan, the cast iron surface is finished with a special lacquer called urushi that helps prevent rust.
